I guess the best thing about living in Bahrain for me when I first got here was the weather — always sunny and warm. And then it started to heat up. I’m talking 43 degrees on average for about three months, and very humid. You can’t escape the heat when outside. Shade just means it holds the heat in. Now it’s starting to cool down and is bearable again so I’m quite liking it. The water is now cooling down enough to go swimming. One other thing I must mention is the petrol price. Wow! 4BD ($NZ14) to fill up a Toyota Corolla tank.
